New Kids on the Block is a famous musical group in the late 1980's and early 1990's. They formed in Boston, the United States in 1984. Its members are Donnie Wahlberg, Jordan Knight, his brother Jonathan Knight, Danny Wood and Joe McIntyre.

Their first album of the same name in 1986 is not so sold well. But when they became the opening band for Tiffany in 1988, fame began to come. Their second album, Hangin 'Tough (1988) sold 8 million copies worldwide and produced five top ten songs.

After releasing their next album in 1990, Step By Step, they split from their manager and producer Maurice Starr and soon disbanded. Donnie Wahlberg is known now as an actor, Jordan Knight and Joe McIntyre each released solo albums.
